Lead Work
Lead is used widely on roofs because like copper it does not rust and can be formed to fit around chimneys, abutments, dormers or just for decorative features. However this does not mean to say it will last forever. If properly installed, the lead should outlive the lifespan of your tiles/slates on your roof but in some cases old lead needs to be replaced which is where Rutherford Roofing comes in. Daniel Rutherford has been on a welding and bossing course to learn how to ‘properly’ install lead flashings. With a recognised qualification by the LSA (Lead Sheet Association) we can form all types of lead flashings and even weld in some situations if required. Please take time to look through our gallery at just a few of the flashings we have installed. |
